Former football player and currently the head coach of the Manchester City first football team. Awarded the Medal of Honor by the Parliament of Catalonia in 2011 for his ability to convey the values of “sportsmanship, teamwork, effort, and personal improvement.”

Manel Estiarte

Chair’s director

Former water polo player and member of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City. He has been an Olympian on several occasions and was a member of the International Olympic Committee. He received the Prince of Asturias Award for Sports in 2001 for his exemplary sports career.

Valentí Martínez

Chair’s academic director

Doctor of Psychology, international consultant and trainer in the area of management, and collaborating professor at various business schools. Co-creator of the gamified tool for management training, Management Colors. He has held various management positions in the healthcare sector. Currently, he is the Director of International Strategy at the University Foundation of Bages (Manresa campus of UVic-UCC) and the Academic Director of the Chair of Leadership in Values. He was Vice-Rector of the Manresa campus of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia from 2014 to 2017.

Doctor in Social Psychology from the UAB. Master’s in Organizational Development. Master’s in Education and ICT e-Learning, specializing in Management. Currently, she is the Director of Corporate Development at the University Foundation of Bages (Manresa Campus of UVic-UCC) where, in addition to her management tasks, she engages in teaching and research activities in two different areas: Organizational development, teams and people; and transformative innovation and simulation.

Doctor for the national water polo teams, with which he has been an Olympian eight times. Deputy Director of the Althaia Foundation and recipient of the Sports Merit Medal from the Manresa City Council.

Vice President of the Bioethics Committee of Catalonia. Author of numerous publications on bioethics and law. Speaker at various national and international conferences and seminars on bioethics and health law.

Recipient of the Creu de Sant Jordi from the Government of Catalonia.

Doctor of Medicine and Surgery. Licensed in Medicine and Surgery and specialist in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. Professor of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. Awarded the Jordi Gol i Gurina Prize in 2020 for her extensive and recognized professional career in the field of Anesthesiology. Director of the Chair of Simulation and Patient Safety at the Manresa campus of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia. Coordinator of the Master’s in Patient Safety and Health Risk Management at the Manresa campus of the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia.
