Caring with purpose, while incorporating skills in communication, teamwork, collaboration, and care for patients and families, are the main components of the course that the Chair in Values‑Based Leadership launched on March 2 for staff with managerial and supervisory responsibilities at the Hospital de la Seu d’Urgell.
Throughout the different sessions of the training program, topics to be addressed include purpose and the role of professionals within an organization; effective communication with both the professional team and with patients and families; shared responsibility and teamwork; patient‑ and family‑centered care; and the integration of commitments for continuous improvement.
The Chair in Values‑Based Leadership has a dedicated line of work that delivers tailor‑made training, such as the program being conducted at the Hospital de la Seu d’Urgell, in which it adapts its training model to the values and organizational culture of each institution.
